Question about pay as you go? blackberry messenger? help!?

i pay 10 pounds a month for the orange dolphin thing. this gives me 100mb internet and certain amount of texts. 5 pounds comes off for blackberry messenger and email. if i topped up 5 pounds and got blackberry messenger and email, do i need the dolphin for the internet? or will it cost after i pay 5 pounds for bbm??
