What do you think of names where the spelling/ pronunciation has been changed?

I hate this trend its so stupid. I thought Nevaeh was okay when I saw it on 16 and pregnant an then I noticed how completely horrible it sounds. I think the worst spelling I've come across is Nickole and that's the way my sister punished my niece.
