Am I being too forward?

A woman I was involved with in college recently contacted me by yahoo messenger. We talked for a bit but I had to go. This was after five years. Since then I've been thinking about her a lot... I sent her a Facebook message a couple of days ago about something that happened in college, a funny memory and she said 'lmao' and just now i sent her a message saying that I wanted to talk to her again, that she should text me and my phone number. Is this too forward?
