About new car tax and excise tax deduction on 2010 tax return?

I bought a new car in December 2009. I paid the sales tax at the time of purchase. Am I qualified for the new car tax and excise tax deduction? If so, should I attach a schedule form with my1040A? I take standard deductions. Thank you.
